On the evening news with Pujadas, there was no discussion of the manif, or the real numbers, but it was reported briefly that Simone Veil was seen with her husband marching, holding a sign. I found this on the net -

It is surprising, but I think there are several on the left who intellectually realize what such a law would do to society. There is much more conservatism in France than people realize.
