A Femen in the Madeleine Church
A brazen action by a Femen went unpunished. Yves Daoudal reports:
While it is enough in some places to wear a shirt bearing the Manif Pour Tous logo in order to be arrested by government police, the Femen can do as they please, where they please, with no intervention from the authorities. And they cry victory, naturally.
On December 20, a Femen, standing before the main altar in the church of the Madeleine in Paris, veiled in light blue, a piece of calves' liver in her hand, said she was "aborting the embryo of Jesus", with the words "Christmas is cancelled" scribbled on her back. There was no reaction from the civil authorities. The priest lodged a complaint, but there was no follow-up.
Inna Shevchenko, founder of the Femen in France, having fled the Ukraine to become the symbol of the French Republic (on a postage stamp) commented: "Nothing happened, Eloise was not summoned by the police. That shows how weak the Church in France has become…"
Note: It's always refreshing to hear the truth, even from the mouth of a slut. She is of course right, and she has accurately (and with schaudenfreude) pinpointed one of the major reasons for the current crisis in France: the abdication of the clergy confronted with realities it cannot cope with. We know there are many exceptions, and the fate of the country may rest with these exceptions.
Another article from Daoudal informs us that Bernard Antony, founder of the Catholic association AGRIF, is filing a lawsuit, and demanding of Interior Minister Manuel Valls the dissolution of the Femen.
If you don't know who the Femen are, Wikipedia has an article that some have challenged. Or, if you have a strong stomach, you can go to the Femen website, which has French, Russian and English versions. Be advised that there is much nudity, all of it repulsive. You can also click the Femen label below for a selection of articles, including those on the postage stamp.
Below, she thinks she's God? No. She is spitting at religion in a sacred place. The real farce is that she can get away with this. So far as I know, except for the complaint from the priest, no church official said or did anything.
